Have enjoyed you site for a couple years now. Presently I have an almost completely restored 860. Also have an un-restored 821. After these two, I will be looking for a 1940 9-N to restore. Please continue to maintain this most interesting website.

I have a 1947 9n, and a 1952 8n. I still use the 8n around the house, but the 9n is stored in my shop. My Dad bought the 9n iI think about in 1953 after he lost both arms in a farming accident. It was the only tractor he could drive with his feet by pushing the steering arms either right or left to steer it with. He would shift it with his right foot and push and pull the hand throttle with his foot. My brother and I learned how to drive by sitting on Dads lap and steering it.
I am in the process of restoring it. It still runs good, and brings back some fond memories. |

Bought a 39 9N a couple years ago. Looks fair, runs great. We have a small hobby farm and it handles all our needed tasks. One tough tractor. My wife loves driving it while doing chores.
Thanks for the site. Has been lots of help. God Bless! |

When growing up in the late 40s and 50s my father had a 9N which he had purchased new. My brother and I spent many hours on the Ford 9N. I have many fond memories of that tractor.

Really like your site. I have several 9 and 2N's that are in line to be restored. I grew up on a 8n with more seat time than I care to remember. My brothers always teased dad that he wouldn't get his money's worth out of it until 2008. That would have been the 50th anniversary of it arriving on the farm. Dad is gone now but the old 8n is still around and will stay on the farm as long as we are alive.
